Blairsville Arts and Crafts
Festival (Courthouse
Square)
Great weekend weather with a
good turnout of visitors and a
well run event all combined to
make 1 great event. Saturday
morning started sales early
during set up
and roared along with $1800 in
sales. Sunday much slower,
accounted for about $500 in
sales. Kudos to Tom Bruce for
hauling the RUV around, working
the set up and tear down,
tracking the $ and tix, selling
and then making the BBQ chicken
dinner from hell on Sunday
afternoon. He and Phyliss need a
red cape and some blue tights.
Another special mention to
Cruiser Ron Hood - a natural
born salesman - sold a lot of
tix Saturday. Pres Fred
helped out both days as well as
Liz and John on Sunday after
they got back from their trip.
Recommendations for next
year:
The arts festival committee did
a great job and were very
accommodating. We should help
with promotion next year via
website and newsletters and
press releases, helps us both
out. A tent would be a lot of
help to keep us out of the sun,
and if the tent had a logo on it
(like the banks do) we would be
easily identifiable, which would
lend to better sales. We should
have a large collapsible A-frame
sign right in front of the
ATV (maybe over the trailer
tongue) advising folks that this
trailer is being raffled off,
the $ goes to the Kids, and we
are the Cruisers (see us every
month on the square). It would
be worth having this
professionally done, could help
us snag more sales and even
attendees to the Cruise-Ins and
possibly new members.
Saturday,
June 6th
SPLIT
SHOWS,
Murphy AM thru 1pm
(Register, Hood, McGinnis & Bruce) and
BC Cruise-In

Murphy Show netted $675 in
sales; Our Cruise-In netted $290
